Twin-Stick Shooter MONKEY BARRELS Launches Today on Steam
Nicalis, Inc. announces that Monkey Barrels is officially launching on the Steam platform today.
Developed by the geniuses at Good-Feel, Monkey Barrels is set in a post-apocalyptic Japan where a crazed inventor has wiped out the human race by weaponizing household appliances. When a wild monkey is abducted for a new experiment, his simian pals Masaru and Hanako go all-out to save him. To defeat the rogue appliances and out-of-control machines, the monkeys use weapons made from odds and ends like soda bottles, hair dryers and fire hydrants.
Monkey Barrels has 98 different weapons to acquire, 22 different stages to explore, lots of giant bullet-heck boss battles to conquer and a unique “3D pixel art” aesthetic, plus an energetic and atmospheric original soundtrack. There’s also an unlockable “Banana Scramble” mode with online player-vs.-player mayhem for up to six monkeys.
